Minnesota Newspaper Museum

The Minnesota Newspaper Museum is located on the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in a quaint brick building and every year it provides over 25,000 visitors with a lesson in the important role that newspapers have played in Minnesota’s history. The Museum is a working replica of a 1930s small town newspaper and features period letterpress printing equipment. A sensational volunteer workforce produces a State Fair edition newspaper on the period equipment, allowing visitors a rare chance to see the letterpress printing process in action. The Museum also features exhibits on journalism and the First Amendment and visitors can receive their very own pressman’s hat.
The Minnesota Newspaper Museum will be open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, August 27-September 7, 2009. We hope to see you there!
If you would like to volunteer at the museum this year, download this form and send it back to MNF.
